Maxfli Golf Balls

Maxfli SOFTLI Golf Balls are an example of production art I created while working as Lead Production Artist at Dick’s Sporting Goods. I’ve always loved creating art, but during my time at SGS I discovered how much I enjoy helping brands maintain their identity while preparing files for the technical side of print production.
Dick’s Sporting Goods came to us with established artwork, and it was my job to translate their designs and print specifications into polished files ready for third-party offset printers.

The packaging includes process colors along with two spot colors, two levels of embossing, and two finishes—one being a soft rubber coating—printed onto an aluminum substrate. I enjoy utilizing different print techniques to help tell the brand’s product story.

When working with packaging, I make sure colors, fonts, and established brand elements are treated with the utmost respect when adding new products to a legacy brand.
